This is the site for anyone who has a passion for ponies and wants to learn more about them. You do not need to own a pony or even ride, all you need is a love of ponies and the desire to learn to care for them. Poniesonline will guide you through the basics of riding and pony care, right through to advanced equitation and horsemastership. To begin, we are assuming that you are just starting out and have a great deal to learn. Each stage is designed to help you towards passing the Pony Club tests, but you do not have to take the tests, it is up to you. You may want to take Riding Club tests, the Association of British Riding Schools Equitation tests or tests specific to your local Riding School or country, Poniesonline will show you how to pass with flying colours!
Poniesonline brings you much more than just the information you need to pass the Pony Club or Riding Club tests. For example, it tells you about the magnificent shire heavy horse and includes many poems about ponies. You are not expected to ride a shire and spout poetry for the test! We feel that if you love ponies, you will want to enjoy reading all about them.
This site is brought to you by:
Sally Aldridge, BSc (hons), Certificates in Education, Counselling and an NVQ Assessor.

Welcome to Poniesonline
Do you love horses and ponies and want to learn how to care for them? Do you:
If you have answered ‘yes’ to most of these questions, then this is the site for you!
You need to buy the course in order to sign in to Module One. Ask your parent to go to the Parents Page to find out more.
This is a picture of my daughter, Sarah, with Missie, our beloved first ridden pony when they won the Area 15A British Show Pony Society challenge shield.
We also feel that learning about ponies should be fun! So we have included puzzles, pictures and cartoons. If you have any to share, please send them in. Only your first name and the county that you live in will be displayed on the net. Never give your email address or any personal details to someone you and your parents do not know.
Poniesonline will show you how to learn easily and effectively. There are methods that you can practise that will improve your memory and allow you to use your brain better.
Poniesonline relies on traditional British horse sense and knowledge. If you live outside the UK, we would be really interested to know how you look after your ponies. Tell us what is the same and what is different about how you care for your ponies.
Poniesonline is a study course that builds on your knowledge through each stage. The first stage contains approximately 50 pages of text, photos, quizzes, exercises and pictures. Enjoy these free pages and then sign up for the course! Ask your parents to click on the ‘Parents Page’ button to find out more, or follow the link.
